Stephen King ‘Carrie’ Remake Officially Reveals Main Cast

Another adaptation of the classic Stephen King novel “Carrie” is on its way.

Written and directed by horror auteur Mike Flanagan, the Amazon Prime series was officially greenlit for eight episodes on April 10, 2025. It will begin filming in the next few weeks.
Now, per Joe Otterson of Variety, the main cast of the series has officially been announced. Here are the 10 actors who will be bringing the frights to Bates High.

Summer H. Howell – Carrie White
On April 8, it was revealed that Summer H. Howell will take on the leading role of Carrie White.
Howell is most well-known for her performance as Alice in “Curse of Chucky” and “Cult of Chucky.” She has also appeared in “Hunter Hunter,” “Clouds,” and “Spirit in the Blood.”
Samantha Sloyan – Margaret White
Carrie’s abusive mother, Margaret White, will be played by Flanagan’s frequent collaborator Samantha Sloyan.
Sloyan has appeared in “Hush,” “The Haunting of Hill House,” “Midnight Mass,” “The Midnight Club,” and “The Fall of the House of Usher,” and “The Life of Chuck.”
Siena Agudong – Sue Snell
Siena Agudong will be taking on the role of Carrie’s guilt-ridden classmate, Sue Snell.
Agudong most recently starred in the Tubi film “The QB and Me.” She has also been featured in the ‘Resident Evil’ television series, “F9: The Fast Saga,” “No Good Nick,” and “Upside-Down Magic.”
Matthew Lillard – Principal Grayle
Horror icon Matthew Lillard will be taking on the role of Mr. Grayle, the principal of Bates High.
Often considered a “Scream King,” Lillard has played Stu Macher in “Scream,” Dennis Rafkin in “Thirteen Ghosts,” Shaggy in multiple Scooby-Doo projects, and William Afton in “Five Nights At Freddy’s.”
Lillard has also worked with director Flanagan in developing a horror-themed tequila through his company, Macabre Spirits.
Alison Thornton – Chris Hargensen
Alison Thronton will be playing Chris Hargensen, Carrie’s terrifying bully.
Thornton is most well-known for playing Zooey Hernandez-Frumpkis in “Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce’ and “Lydia Spring” in “Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.”
Other Characters
Amber Midthunder of “Legion’ and ‘Prey” will be playing Miss Desjardin, the teacher who tries to help Carrie.

Additionally, Carrie’s main classmates have been cast: Thalia Dudek of “Running Man” as Emaline, Josie Totah of ‘The Buccaneers’ as Tina, Arthur Conti of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” as Billy, and Joel Oulette of ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ as Tommy.
