Suns’ Devin Booker Has Perfect Three Word Response to Blockbuster Luke Doncic Trade

The NBA world was stunned when the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks pulled off one of the biggest blockbuster trades in NBA history. The Mavericks sent Luka Doncic to LA in exchange for Anthony Davis. The full trade is as follows:

Going back two days, the Mavericks decided to share an iconic photo of Doncic smiling right at a very serious Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker. The image itself has made waves since it appeared back in 2022.

The image is from the Western Semifinals when the Mavericks handily beat the Suns in Game 7.
The infamous image was shared against by the Dallas Mavericks a mere two days ago, leading to Booker taking a hilarious shot at the franchise that just traded away Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Mavericks shared the photo with a caption that reads, “Ok last one we swear.”
Naturally, Booker shared the image with a caption of his own. “Kept their word.”
Though the response is as innocent as sharing the photo, Booker does get to enjoy the last laugh, as the Mavericks shockingly sent Doncic to the Lakers for Anthony Davis. With Doncic now playing for the Lakers, it would be assumed the Mavericks would retire this image.

The entire NBA and sports world at large has been sharing responses since the blockbuster trade happened last night.
NBA players like Joel Embiid, Dirk Nowitzki, Tyrese Haliburton, and more shared responses of pure shock. Even the larger sports world has been sharing shocking takes on the massive trade.

Mavericks superfan Patrick Mahomes took to X to state that he felt “sick” over the trade. He did respond on a more positive note following his initial shock.
Both the Lakers and Mavericks have seen their competitive makeup completely changed by this trade. It will be interesting to see which player leads to a complete record turnaround this season.
The Lakers are currently 28-19 and one game behind the fourth-place Denver Nuggets. Adding Doncic could easily elevate them to a higher seeding.
The Mavericks are 26-23 and No. 8 in the Western Conference. Davis is the right kind of defender that could help the team turn around quickly.
This trade is sure to make waves for the rest of the season and the coming years.
