Suns Injury Report: Kevin Durant Status Revealed vs. Warriors

The Phoenix Suns are set to host one of the hottest teams in the league, the Golden State Warriors, on Tuesday. Although the Suns are eight games under .500, there is still a fighting chance that they can secure the No. 10 seed in the loaded Western Conference.
The Suns will look to capture their 36th win of the season against the Warriors; however, they will have to do so without their best player, Kevin Durant.
Durant will miss his fourth consecutive game and his 17th game of the season.

On March 31, the Suns announced that Durant would be sidelined for at least a week due to a left ankle sprain. Since then, updates on his condition have been limited. His next opportunity to return to action is set for Wednesday when Phoenix faces off against the Thunder.
This is the first leg of a back-to-back for the Phoenix.
The last time Durant was on the court, he was limited. In only 23 minutes of action, Durant recorded 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field, seven rebounds, one assist, and one steal in the loss to the Rockets.
The 15-time All-Star left the game on March 30 in the third quarter after suffering a left ankle sprain while falling to the floor in a collision with Jabari Smith Jr.
This season has not been pretty for the Suns, especially after starting the season on a tear. However, since then, things have gone on a downward spiral for Phoenix. After starting the season 8-1, the Suns have gone 27-42.
The Warriors have gone in the opposite direction of the Suns. After starting the season at 25-25, Golden State has recorded a 21-7 record in the last two months.
Entering this matchup, the Warriors are heavy road favorites with a -9.5 spread.
The Suns have a 9-5 record against teams in the Pacific Division. Defensively, Phoenix has struggled, giving up an average of 116.6 points per game while being outscored by 2.6 points.
The Warriors, meanwhile, have had their own difficulties within the division, posting a 4-10 mark. Golden State ranks fifth in the NBA in total rebounds, pulling down 45.5 per game, with Kevon Looney leading the way at 6.2 boards per contest.
Recently, Golden State has found a rhythm, winning seven of its last 10 outings. Over that span, the Warriors are putting up 115.2 points, 43.7 rebounds, 28.6 assists, 10.5 steals, and 2.9 blocks per game while shooting 45.1 percent from the floor. Defensively, they’ve held opponents to just 109.5 points on average.
As for Phoenix, it’s been more of a rough stretch lately. The Suns are 4-6 in their last 10 games, averaging 113.1 points, 41.7 rebounds, 27.1 assists, 6.9 steals, and 3.4 blocks per contest. During this skid, opponents have scored an average of 120.0 points against them.
