Szijjártó on tariffs: Once again, we were right

“Yesterday, Hungary was the only EU member state that didn’t support Brussels’ counter-tariffs against the US. Last night, President Trump suspended tariffs for 90 days for those who didn’t retaliate,” Minister Szijjártó said.

Reacting to the announcement of a pause on tariff increases by the United States, Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, said: “Once again, we were right.”

“Yesterday, Hungary was the only EU member state that didn’t support Brussels’ counter-tariffs against the US. Last night, President Trump suspended tariffs for 90 days for those who didn’t retaliate,” Minister Szijjártó said in a post on social media.

“Strategic calm wins!” he added.
