Taylor Swift Eras Tour: Denver Concert Seen From Space
In this series, Newsweek is recapping every show Taylor Swift has performed on the Eras Tour, city by city.
Swift’s stratospheric status has been confirmed, with a satellite imagery company revealing her Denver shows could be seen from space.
The “You Need To Calm Down” singer’s Eras Tour arrived in Colorado on July 14, 2023, with the star playing at Empower Field at Mile High. And according to the company BlackSky, it was so big that it could be viewed from space.
The firm shared three satellite images taken throughout the day. In the first, the scene looked quiet before Swift rolled into town, while the second reflected an increase in activity in the area. The third shot showed the peak time in the evening and at that point, thousands of cars could be seen descending on the stadium as fans flocked to see their idol perform.
BlackSky posted the images on X, formerly Twitter, and wrote: “@taylorswift13 are you … Ready for it? We captured imagery from 9:36am, 3:40pm, and 6:27pm MT of the Denver stop of the #ErasTour. Now here’s the #geoint stuff: Analysis estimates there were ~7,200 cars in the parking lots!”
Swift played two nights at Empower Field at Mile High, on July 14 and 15, serving up a string of her hits to a packed stadium.
Sharing photographs from the concerts on X, the “Shake It Off” songstress wrote: “Just had the best time in Denver!!” She also revealed that the Eras Tour had set a record at the venue, adding: “We got to be the first tour to play in that stadium 2 nights.”
Denver was one of Swift’s last U.S. tour stops before she headed on to South America and then Asia, as she told her followers: “It’s really hitting me that we only have 3 cities left on the US Eras Tour. This has been my favorite adventure of all. I appreciate and cherish every second of it.”
