Tracy Morgan Reveals Why He Got Sick at Knicks Game
Tracy Morgan says food poisoning was behind his sudden illness during Monday night’s Knicks-Heat game, assuring fans he’s “doing OK.”
The comedian shared an update Tuesday morning on Instagram, posting a smiling photo from a hospital bed and thanking fans for their concern. He also joked that his health scare may have been a good luck charm for the Knicks.
“I’m doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning. Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!” Morgan wrote.
He added, “More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court, so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs,” ending his post with #GoKnicks.
Morgan fell ill in the third quarter of Monday’s game, halting play for over 10 minutes while Madison Square Garden staff cleaned the area around his seat. The Knicks ultimately won 116-95.
The 56-year-old comedian, a die-hard Knicks fan, was recently featured in the “Saturday Night Live” 50th anniversary celebrations, appearing at both “SNL50: The Homecoming Concert” and “SNL50: The Anniversary Celebration” special.
Morgan also has a new untitled NBC comedy pilot in the works alongside Daniel Radcliffe, where he plays a disgraced former football player attempting to rebuild his image.
