USA Hockey Player’s Shocking Post-Gold Medal Meal Goes Viral
It’s the final night of the Winter Olympic Games, the Closing Ceremony is over, and there are thousands of athletes partying in the Olympic Village.
While some athletes were out drinking, a few players from the Team USA men’s hockey team that won gold in Milan were in the cafeteria celebrating their victory.
What does a champion eat on an empty stomach in the middle of the night in the Olympic Village?
Auston Matthews, the captain of the American men’s hockey team, let the world know that teammate Brady Tkachuk has a unique appetite following one of the best and busiest days of their lives.

Brady, who is on the team with his older brother Matthew of the Florida Panthers, was caught red-handed with one of the weirdest celebration meals of all time: buttered noodles, water, and six chocolate cakes.
The Ottawa Senators captain looked up from his bountiful meal to show off his new gold medal for Matthews in the photo that is spreading across the internet.
It’s a unique connection between two friends, both of whom are two of the most important players on the Team USA roster and leaders of two of the Canadian NHL franchises.
While both teams are expected to honor their captains when they return home, it will be an awkward situation for Canadian fans unhappy with the loss to their archrivals from the United States.
Will they boo their own captains?
Regardless, Brady doesn’t have time to think about what will happen next week when he returns to Ottawa. He has more buttered noodles to eat and a few more chocolate cakes to devour before getting on the plane home.
