“Ms. Grant’s amended complaint reveals new details,” Grant’s attorney Ann Callis said via statement. “That further demonstrate the sexual abuse Janel Grant suffered at the hands of Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis and pulls back the curtain on the dangerous workplace culture McMahon created at WWE. Ms. Grant looks forward to holding her abusers accountable in a court of law.”

Grant filed an amended complaint on Friday, significantly expanding her allegations against McMahon.

The updated lawsuit, submitted to a U.S. District Court in Connecticut, now spans 101 pages, up from 67 in her initial filing from January 2024.

In her amended complaint, Grant continues to allege that McMahon sexually assaulted and trafficked her before she signed a nondisclosure agreement with him in 2022, asserting that Laurinaitis was complicit in the abuse as well.

She accuses WWE of negligence in allowing McMahon’s alleged misconduct to occur. Both McMahon and Laurinaitis have denied the allegations, with Laurinaitis initially claiming to be a victim of McMahon himself.

Notably, the amended complaint introduces a disturbing claim that McMahon instructed Grant to create pornographic content for Michael Hayes, a longtime WWE creative executive.

Grant’s attorneys state that in September 2020, McMahon directed her to produce customized explicit material for Hayes and his team.

The complaint includes screenshots of text messages from Grant to McMahon, some of which have phrases suggesting her complicity and enthusiasm for these demands.

Additionally, Grant expands on allegations that McMahon shared explicit images of her without consent, claiming he once recorded her during a video call with Laurinaitis while she was nude.

She alleges that Laurinaitis sent sexually explicit videos to McMahon, who subsequently shared them with Grant.

The amended complaint reiterates several allegations from the original filing, including claims that McMahon and Laurinaitis sexually assaulted her in Laurinaitis’s office at WWE headquarters, despite her multiple pleas for them to stop.

New evidence is presented regarding the abuse, including:

  • McMahon allegedly offering Grant to WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar for a sexual encounter during contract negotiations and instructing her to send sexually explicit content to Lesnar.
  • A text message where McMahon graphically details a fantasy of men surrounding Grant and leaving her “physically wrecked.”
  • Messages indicating that McMahon believed only he had the authority to “arrange” Grant’s sexual encounters.
  • An instance where McMahon allegedly recorded Grant while she was nude without her knowledge or consent.
  • Details surrounding an investigation WWE claimed to conduct in 2022, which purportedly ignored Grant’s testimony.
  • A voice message from McMahon in which he pressures Grant to sign an NDA “really f****** fast” to avoid repercussions for himself.
  • A text from McMahon stating, “I’m the only one who owns U and controls who I want to f*** U.”

McMahon’s legal team has released a statement responding to the amended complaint.

“As expected, the proposed amended complaint is nothing more than the latest publicity stunt in an ongoing smear campaign,” McMahon attorney Jessica Rosenberg said. “It is filled with desperate falsehoods from a team that continues to disregard the law and the truth.”
