Waberer’s now also in passenger transport
The Waberer’s Group has acquired a 50% stake in PANNON-BUSZ-RENT Kft, thereby entering the passenger transport market.
The shares of PANNON-BUSZ-RENT are expected to remain with founder Zoltán Kölbl for the next two years. PANNON-BUSZ-RENT was founded in 2005 and is an important player in the passenger transport sector with 170 vehicles. The transaction is expected to be finalised in the first half of the year, subject to the fulfilment of the conditions set out in the purchase agreement and the approval of the authorities.
Waberer’s is constantly looking for further growth and diversification opportunities. By entering the market for passenger transport services, the Group will be able to offer an even more complex service package. The acquisition will increase the synergies between road freight transport and passenger transport, explained CEO Zsolt Barna.
Waberer’s operates a modern fleet of 2,800 trucks and manages almost 250,000 m2 of modern warehouses – the largest logistics capacity in the region.
