Warriors-Celtics Injury Report Keeps Kristaps Porzingis in Question

Returning from the 2026 NBA All-Star break, the Golden State Warriors understand that the clock is ticking.

So far, the Warriors haven’t exceeded expectations. Heading into the final stretch of the year, the Warriors are holding a 29-26 record. They sit eighth in the Western Conference, looking at a potential NBA Play-In run when the postseason rolls around.

Unfortunately for the Warriors, they are dealing with injury concerns at this stage of the year. The injury reort for Golden State remains a concern as the season reaches the final weeks of February.

Warriors vs Celtics Injury Report

Warriors

  • LJ Cryer – OUT – G League
  • Jimmy Butler – OUT – ACL Surgery
  • Seth Curry – OUT – Sciatic Nerve
  • Kristaps Porzingis – QUESTIONABLE – Achilles Injury Management

The Warriors plan to be without Seth Curry for at least another week. They also know that Butler isn’t going to return this year. A few weeks back, Butler went down with a season-ending knee injury.

Golden State’s front office was already on the hunt for impactful deadline trades, but they ramped up those efforts after the loss of Butler. They landed on Porzingis, who was in the midst of his first season with the Hawks. When the Warriors acquired Porzingis, he was already nursing an injury.

Porzingis hasn’t played since the Hawks’ January 7 matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Warriors are hopeful that he will return to make his Warriors debut on Thursday.

Celtics

  • Jayson Tatum – OUT – Achilles Recovery

The Celtics are thriving this season, despite missing their MVP-caliber forward.

After Porzingis and Jrue Holiday left the Celtics over the summer, the Celtics were expected to enter a gap year. Clearly, that hasn’t been the case. The Celtics return from the break with a 35-19 record. They are placed second in the Eastern Conference.

While Tatum’s timeline is one of the league’s biggest questions, as he could return this season for a playoff run, the Celtics don’t have any injury questions on Thursday. The Warriors have all of the attention in that department heading into the game.

The Warriors and the Celtics are slated for a 10 PM ET tip.
