Who Is Carmine Faino? Suspect In Pennsylvania State Trooper Shooting
🎙️ Voice is AI-generated. Inconsistencies may occur.
Police have named Carmine Faino as the suspect in a Pennsylvania shooting on Thursday, in which a woman was killed and two state troopers were injured.
Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Christopher Paris said that Faino, 61, shot his neighbor, Lori Wasko, outside her home. He then fired dozens of shots that downed a surveillance drone, and seriously injured state troopers Joseph Perechinsky and William Jenkins. He was subsequently shot dead by police.
Paris declined to comment on Faino’s motive, but said: “I would say you can draw certain conclusions from the standpoint that we believe Faino shot our victim prior to our arrival and then from a position of tactical advantage fired dozens and dozens of rounds.”
Paris added that Perechinsky and Jenkins were in a serious but stable condition in hospital on Thursday night.
