Who Is Cody Balmer’s Ex-Wife, Adrian Jones?
Adrian Abreeana Monique Jones, also known as Adrian Balmer, has entered the public eye following an incident involving her ex-husband, Cody Balmer. The 38-year-old man is accused of setting fire to the governor’s mansion in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on Sunday.
While Balmer faces serious criminal charges, court records and public documents have raised questions about his past, including his ties to Jones, the mother of his children.
Why It Matters
Balmer’s arrest made national headlines. His mother told CBS News that she attempted to warn police about his behavior hours before the attack. The incident caused significant damage to Governor Josh Shapiro’s home, but no one was injured in the blaze.

What To Know
Jones, 34, resides in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and has used her maiden and married names in voter registration and court documents.
The couple got married in 2017, according to Dauphin County marriage records. According to records reviewed by Newsweek, she has lived at multiple addresses across Dauphin and York counties, two of which overlap with those listed for Balmer.
Jones and Balmer were involved in at least one child custody case in Pennsylvania. The couple share legal custody of two children, ages 6 and 4, according to an order obtained by Newsweek. Balmer has primary physical custodial responsibilities while Jones has partial responsibilities.
Jones works as a service coordinator with PA Health Management, according to her LinkedIn profile. She previously worked as a behavioral health technician and paraprofessional. She attended Harrisburg Area Community College between 2011 and 2014.
Jones’ legal record includes a misdemeanor charge in 2013 for providing false identification to law enforcement. She later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a year of probation.
Balmer has a lengthy criminal history, including multiple arrests involving assault, forgery and theft. He has also faced foreclosure proceedings on a property he owned in Harrisburg.
Newsweek attempted to contact Jones for comment via known email addresses.
What People Are Saying
Christie Balmer, Cody’s mother, in an interview with CBS News: “He was mentally ill, went off his meds, and this is what happened.”
What Happens Next
Cody is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday on assault charges stemming from a January 2023 incident.
He is facing charges of attempted homicide, terrorism, aggravated arson, aggravated assault and burglary in connection with Sunday’s incident.
