Ninja Gaiden 4 Announced for Fall 2025
The first announcement of the show took everyone by surprise — Team Ninja is partnering with PlatinumGames to make Ninja Gaiden 4, which will be released later this year. The upcoming action game will star a new protagonist, Yakumo, but Ryu Hayabusa will also be playable.
Ninja Gaiden 4 will be released in Fall 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be available on day one on PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate.
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black Released on Game Pass
Team Ninja had another surprise up its sleeve. Not only is a new Ninja Gaiden sequel coming soon, but we’re also getting a remaster of the franchise’s second game from the HD era. Ninja Gaiden 2 Black is a beautiful remaster with additional playable characters Momiji, Ayane, and Rachel.
Here’s the best part: You can play Ninja Gaiden 2 Black right now on PC, Xbox, and PS5, and Game Pass subscribers can download it today at no additional cost.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Gameplay Deep Dive and Release Date
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was already one of this year’s most anticipated games, but its gameplay deep dive has cemented it as one of 2025’s most promising titles. The turn-based RPG features some real-time action as well, along with a beautiful world map. It looks like an evolution and combination of Final Fantasy and Persona, and it’s hard to not find it impressive.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is releasing on April 24, 2025, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be released on day one on PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate.
South of Midnight Gameplay Deep Dive and Release Date
Compulsion Games’ revealed more story and gameplay details about South of Midnight, its Souther Gothic folk-inspired action-adventure game. The story trailer reveals its protagonist, Hazel’s, backstory. We also got to see Hazel in action as she eliminates corruption from the land with her acrobatic abilities.
South of Midnight is releasing on April 8, 2025, on PC and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be playable day one on PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate.
Doom: The Dark Ages Gameplay Deep Dive and Release Date
Finally, Doom: The Dark Ages has been confirmed to release on May 15, 2025. You can learn more about it in our Doom: The Dark Ages preview. The upcoming prequel insists that players “stand and fight” demons in hell instead of running and gunning. Players can fly atop a cybernetic dragon and pilot a 30-story Atlan mech. The Doom Slayer looks mightier than ever.
