1 arrested, 1 on the run after man found with knife ‘protruding from his head’
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (TCN) — A 40-year-old man is in custody and a 50-year-old woman remains on the run after allegedly stabbing a man in the head this week.
On March 12 at 2:31 p.m., an Asheville Police Department officer on patrol on the 100 block of Patton Avenue reportedly found a man with a “knife protruding from his head.” Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived, and he was transported to a nearby hospital. Asheville Police said the suspects had already fled the area by the time the officer located him.
In an update, Asheville Police announced they identified Deon Muckelvene and Sheri Sutton as the suspects in the attack. Police arrested Muckelvene in the early morning of March 15 on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. The second suspect, Sutton, is wanted on the same charge.
Asheville Police said the victim is alive but in critical condition.
