Florida man allegedly fatally stabbed his girlfriend and her mother, then said he would ‘do it again’
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (TCN) — A 41-year-old man stands accused of fatally stabbing his 34-year-old girlfriend and her 75-year-old mother, but investigators allege he originally planned to kill the entire family.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday, April 12, deputies responded to a home on 108th Street North, where they found Christina Donzero and her mother, Betti “Suzanne” Thevenet Donzero, both deceased with multiple stab wounds. Authorities reportedly discovered Christina Donzero in a bedroom and Thevenet Donzero in the garage.
Deputies located the suspect, Kirk Hysell Jr., in the bathroom with multiple self-inflicted injuries, and he was transported to a hospital. Hysell’s daughter reportedly called law enforcement after her father allegedly told her he had killed his girlfriend and his girlfriend’s mother.
According to the sheriff’s office, Hysell admitted to stabbing the victims, claiming he “initially planned to kill the whole family,” and he also wanted to kill his other family members. Hysell allegedly said that if he got out, he would “do it again.”
Hysell was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on two counts of first-degree murder.
