Honolulu police seeking witnesses after woman found dead in storm drain
HONOLULU (TCN) — Police are working to locate potential witnesses in the death of a 50-year-old woman found last week.
According to the Honolulu Police Department, on Friday, Sept. 13, shortly after 1 p.m., Christina Baca was found unresponsive in a storm drain near University of Hawaii Faculty Housing. Officers said she “was found to be in a state of decomposition.”
An autopsy later determined Baca had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and her death was ruled a homicide. Police believe the victim was killed several days earlier, in the early hours of Sept. 9. She was last seen in a yellow bathing suit and aloha print dress.
