Las Vegas woman found dead in cardboard box in remote Arizona desert
MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. (TCN) — Detectives are investigating a homicide after finding the body of a Las Vegas woman in a remote desert area of Arizona.
According to an Oct. 3 news release from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded near Windmill Ranch Road on Sept. 5 after an individual located a deceased woman inside a large cardboard box. The reporting party allegedly owns the property and was “checking on things” when he made the discovery.
The previous night, another person reportedly observed a car near the wash with the trunk open, “but it was dark outside, and he could not identify the vehicle.”
Officials tested the victim’s fingerprints and identified her as 57-year-old Carolyn Ann Bosher, who the sheriff’s office described as a transient from Las Vegas.
According to authorities, Bosher had previously been arrested on charges of indecent exposure on Aug. 30, just days before her body was found.
