Missouri man allegedly fatally shot his pregnant wife

LEBANON, Mo. (TCN) — Authorities recently arrested a man on suspicion of killing his 21-year-old wife and their unborn son nearly two months ago.

On the night of June 5, the Lebanon Police Department responded to a possible shooting at a home on North Adams Avenue, where they discovered Reagan Wilson with gunshot wounds. Wilson was pronounced deceased shortly after the incident, and her baby, Silas, succumbed to his injuries on June 13.

On July 31, police announced that Sidney Wilson V was identified as the primary suspect, and he was arrested and charged in their deaths.

According to KOLR-TV, Sidney Wilson was the father of the unborn baby, but he and Reagan Wilson separated in December 2024 after she allegedly left him.

Per the probable cause statement reviewed by KOLR, investigators interviewed Sidney Wilson on June 7, and there were discrepancies in his timeline of his locations and activities around the time of his wife’s shooting death. Authorities interviewed him again several days later, and he gave officials permission to search his cellphone. Wilson’s GPS data allegedly revealed he left his home at around 10:30 p.m. on June 5, and then it appeared to have been “manually shut off.”

Sidney Wilson faces charges of first-degree murder for both victims and remains held without bond at the Laclede County Jail.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office, which assisted in Wilson’s arrest, said, “A dangerous person has been removed from the streets of Missouri. Interagency cooperation is paramount to keeping our community safe. This is an excellent example of agencies working together to make Missouri a safer place to live and visit.”
