Ohio man allegedly sends crystal meth through bank’s air tube by accident
WOODSFIELD, Ohio (TCN) — A man has been arrested after allegedly sending a baggie of crystal methamphetamine through the pneumatic air tube at a bank.
On Dec. 3, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office announced they responded to a bank after staff found that a bag of what appeared to be methamphetamine was sent through the drive-thru pneumatic tube. An investigation confirmed the substance was consistent with crystal methamphetamine.
The investigation led police to Jason G. Smith, 46. Officials with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources helped to locate him. At the scene, a K-9 reportedly helped officers recover additional drugs and paraphernalia from his truck. He was then arrested and taken into custody at the Monroe County Jail.
The New York Post reports charges have not yet been announced.
