COLUMBUS, Ohio (TCN) — A woman who fatally drugged four men with fentanyl has been sentenced to four consecutive life sentences in prison with the possibility of parole after 60 years.
Ohio Attorney General David Yost said the Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force received information about a sex worker dosing men with the intention of stealing their belongings, according to The Associated Press. WSYX identified the victims as Wayne Akin, Robert Snoke, Joseph Crumpler, and Guy Renda.
Rebecca Auborn, 36, was indicted in 2023 on murder charges, the AP reports. Four out of five men she dosed in 2022 and 2023 died. Auborn initially pleaded not guilty to the charges, according to the AP, but changed her plea late in 2025.
WSYX reports that as part of the plea deal in which Auborn pleaded guilty to four counts of murder and one count of felonious assault, 23 counts were dismissed. These include trafficking and involuntary manslaughter.
In court on Feb. 19, Auborn addressed the families of the victims, according to WSYX. She said, “I want you to know how truly sorry I am, before the end of every day. I pray for Wayne Akin, Robert Snoke, Joseph Crumpler, and Guy Renda Jr., and all the families. I take full accountability and responsibility for my actions. No matter what happens here today, I respect the judgment. I will continue to pray for you every day.”
She said she is a different person now and that at the time of the murders, she was a drug user and was being sexually exploited.
WSYX reports Christyn Akin, the daughter of one of the victims, said of the sentencing, “I am completely relieved. This was exactly what we wanted. The first thing we wanted was for her to take full accountability; the second, we wanted her to serve a life sentence.”
