Pa. man arrested after victim found dead in car at cemetery with knife in his throat
SWATARA TOWNSHIP, Pa. (TCN) — A man was taken into custody on suspicion of killing a 61-year-old man and leaving his body in a car near a cemetery.
According to the Swatara Township Police Department, on the morning of Jan. 28, police responded to an address on Paxton Street and determined there was an assault the night before. Officers located blood in the parking lot and saw surveillance footage that showed two people arriving in the victim’s car. The suspect reportedly stabbed the victim, and they left the area again in the victim’s car. Officials located the victim, Jorge Morales, deceased in his car at the Paxtang Cemetery.
The Dauphin County Coroner’s Office ruled Morales’ death a homicide. Penn Live reports Morales had a knife in his throat when police found him.
Police found video of the suspect and shared a screenshot of the man with the public. He was wearing a black parka, black pants, and holding a round object. On Feb. 4, Swatara Township Police announced they arrested Frankelin Franco-Colome on one count of criminal homicide.
Franco-Colome is in custody at the Dauphin County Jail without bail.
