Teen daughter’s dying breath helps catch her killer — her own father
James “Kraig” Kahler and his wife Karen were often described as having the “perfect family” with two teen daughters and a young son. But behind closed doors, Karen and Kraig’s relationship crumbled, and it deteriorated even more when Karen left him for another woman. His embarrassment, anger, and outrage led him to kill his wife, daughters, and mother-in-law while they spent Thanksgiving at their grandmother’s house. One daughter’s final few words helped law enforcement nab the killer, who now sits on death row.
