A Record Number of Participants Enjoy the Scenery of Lake Balaton During the Autumn Bike Tour

Unprecedented interest accompanied the final stage of this year’s Four Seasons Bike Tour series: 612 participants completed the 65-kilometer Autumn Bike Tour, including athletes with visual and hearing impairments. The tour started in Balatonfüred (northern shore) and passed through seven towns in the Balaton Uplands before returning to the city, where the day ended with a raffle and a fun community program.

The Four Seasons Bike Tours have grown into one of the most successful community sporting events in the region. The autumn round attracted a particularly large number of participants from across the border: cyclists from Slovakia, Germany, and Poland also registered, many of whom spent several days in Balatonfüred, thus boosting autumn tourism.

Taking advantage of the safe cycling infrastructure, the event mainly followed cycle paths, passing through Veszprém and several charming towns in the Balaton Uplands. At the end of the tour, a raffle was held on the stage of the attractive Balatonfüred leisure center, with a high-quality bicycle as the main prize.

It is extremely gratifying that more and more foreign and disabled cyclists are taking part in the tours – this shows how inclusive and inspiring the Four Seasons series has become,”

emphasized the organizers.

The Four Seasons Bike Tours have been running for seven years now with unbroken popularity, attracting more than 2,500 participants annually. The aim of the series is to show the different faces of Lake Balaton and the Balaton Uplands throughout the year, while offering active recreation opportunities for nature and sports enthusiasts.

The majority of participants are health-conscious cyclists between the ages of 25 and 55 who are committed to an active lifestyle and sustainable tourism.
