Barbie Dolls Dressed by Hungarian Luxury Brand Exhibited at a New Location

From May 13, the special Barbie 65th anniversary collection by fashion designer Beatrix Joó will be on show in a new location, reports Magyar Nemzet. The dolls, dressed in unique creations by the founder of the Sentiments Couture, will be on display at a confectionery (Dobay BudaPart Cukrászda és Pékség) all month long.

The acclaimed fashion designer’s Barbie collection was first unveiled on March 8 in the company of 65 successful Hungarian women who have achieved fantastic results in their chosen careers, at the Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace in Budapest.

The unique Barbie exhibition was a great success and received much recognition, encouraging Mattel (owner of the Barbie brand) and Beatrix Joó to bring the special exhibition to other venues in the capital and the countryside.

As a result, in May the exhibition will be on display at the Dobay BudaPart Cukrászda és Pékség, a place of fine French elegance, where macaron-shaped chairs, floral wallpaper, floral lamps and table tops will create an elegant environment around the dolls.

“Beatrix Joó has dressed the dolls in her creations with a wonderful sense of style. With attention to every detail, she has created her own Barbie ensembles, which from the topaz to the bow hair clip, form a perfect whole. We knew from the first moment that this was a collection that every Barbie lover had to see for themselves, which is why we are now taking this mini exhibition on the road in Budapest and, of course, in the countryside. We are delighted that, after a limited debut in March, they are now available for everyone to see. We are working to exhibit these Barbie dolls in as many places as possible in the country,” emphasized Kata Török, Marketing Manager of Mattel Hungary.

Dobay BudaPart Cukrászda és Pékség is the first to host the Barbie exhibition, and its Barbie-loving team is also offering a nice surprise for guests.

During the exhibition those interested will also find sweet and special Barbie-themed delicacies.

“For me, as a fashion designer, it is always a pleasure to see how I can bring a little happiness, a nice moment, a nice experience into people’s lives through clothes. This Barbie collection is very dear to me because I was able to design creatively without any constraints, and with this freedom it was an intoxicating feeling to create something new and original that can inspire children and adults alike,” noted Beatrix Joó.

The unique Barbie exhibition will be on display from May 13 to May 31 at the confectionery at 1 Garda street, District 11, during opening hours.
