Heatwave to Return with Weekend Temperatures Nearing 40°C
A sweltering heatwave is set to make a comeback across Hungary this weekend, with temperatures climbing steadily each day. By Sunday, daytime highs are expected to soar between 33 and 38 degrees Celsius, according to the latest forecast from the Hungarian Meteorological Service (HungaroMet), released on Thursday.
Friday will bring clear skies and dry weather across the country. Winds from the south and southwest will remain mostly light to moderate, with only northern regions seeing occasional gusts.
Saturday is expected to remain sunny with only a few clouds. No rainfall is anticipated, and winds will continue to be light to moderate, shifting direction throughout the day.
Sunday will also be mostly sunny with minimal cloud cover and no rain in sight. Winds from the north and northwest may pick up in some areas. Overnight temperatures will range from 12 to 22 degrees, and daytime highs are forecast to soar between 33 and 38 degrees.
