The Hungarian Minister for National Economy has signed agreements in Bulgaria on cooperation in the areas of tourism, defense and business.
Minister of Economy Márton Nagy has visited Bulgaria to meet President Rumen Radev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications, Grozdan Karadjov, Minister of Economy Peter Dilov and Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh. He held talks with the ministers and signed cooperation agreements, the Ministry for National Economy announced in a statement.
During the meetings, they agreed on a defense and economic cooperation agreement, that stipulates the creation of a simplified logistics and transport corridor linking Hungarian businesses with Bulgarian ports and free zones in the Black Sea.
This means a sea exit for the Hungarian economy. The parties are also seeking to develop a long-term strategic partnership in the defense industry, including cooperation in defense manufacturing and supply chain optimization, the statement said.

and share knowledge in the field of statistical data collection, in particular the operation of the Hungarian National Tourism Data Supply Center (NTDSC).

Fact
As reported by Hungary Today, it was revealed back in summer 2019 that Hungary would be building a seaport in Trieste, Italy. Hungary acquired the 300-meter-long section of the Italian port for 31 million euros as part of a 60-year concession agreement. The Hungarian government entrusted the task of developing the Hungarian seaport to Adria Port Zrt, a commercial enterprise wholly owned by the Hungarian state. Péter Tibor Garai, the managing director of the company, later announced that operations at the port could begin in 2026.
