Ibis Opens New Aviation-Themed Hotel at Debrecen Airport

Ibis continues its dynamic growth in Central and Eastern Europe. The brand has opened its latest addition, the ibis Styles Debrecen Airport (located in eastern Hungary), turizmus.com reported.

Opened this month, the ibis Styles Debrecen Airport welcomes guests with 88 spacious rooms featuring aviation-inspired design, including 16 fully equipped apartments designed for longer stays.

The hotel’s unique aviation theme is reflected in its central feature: a real airplane model suspended above the reception area. The hotel’s stylish bar sets the tone for the first impression. Many artworks were created in collaboration with the Kós Károly School of Arts and Crafts in Debrecen. Guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast every morning, followed by a selection of refined European cuisine with Hungarian flavors throughout the day.

The well-equipped meeting room adjacent to the restaurant is an ideal venue for corporate gatherings or private dinners. The hotel offers ample parking, including spaces for buses and EV charging stations.

One of the hotel’s key strengths is its strategic location next to Debrecen International Airport.

The project perfectly reflects our strategy of expanding in regional locations with strong travel, business, and cultural appeal and great potential,”

said Jean Wendling, Vice President of Operations Management for Premium, Midscale and Economy Brands in Eastern Europe at Accor.
