Leading Chinese Construction Machinery Company to Build Factory in Tatabánya

The Chinese construction and agricultural machinery manufacturer company Zoomlion is bringing a world-class investment to Tatabánya (northwestern Hungary), where it will build a factory for aerial work platforms with an investment of 100 million euros, announced Levente Magyar, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
He added that the quality and economic intensity of Sino-Hungarian relations is outstanding, and the company, which has a turnover of more than 2,000 billion forints (5 billion euros), will bring one of the biggest investments of the year to the town. He pointed out that the company already has roots in Europe’s most developed cities, with two investments in Germany and Italy. The government is committed to supporting the company’s further expansion in Hungary and they can count on the support of local officials, he said.
Zhan Chunxin, CEO of Zoomlion, said the company will invest 100 million euros to set up an aerial work platform factory in Tatabánya.
The environmentally friendly production base is planned to create 800 new jobs and establish close cooperation with local suppliers. Production is scheduled to start as early as 2025,
he announced.
Gong Tao, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Budapest, stressed that Sino-Hungarian relations have been upgraded to a strategic partnership, with the One Belt, One Road and the policy of opening up to the East being coordinated and based on mutual respect.
Despite international difficulties, Hungary is a reliable partner of China. The modern, intelligent manufacturing base will promote cooperation in the Sino-Hungarian supply chain,
he said.

Its cutting-edge products cover 15 major categories, 75 product lines and 745 models, and it operates 10 overseas R&D and manufacturing bases, in addition to 29 industrial parks in China.
