Legendary Assist Lands Milos Kerkez Among Europe’s Best Wing-Backs

Bournemouth‘s Hungarian footballer, Milos Kerkez is on his way to becoming one of Europe’s best wing-backs, the Premier League website wrote in its analysis.

Since the start of last season, only three players under the age of 22 have received more playing time than the 21-year-old Kerkez in the five major European leagues, while in the Premier League no one has played more minutes (4,426) at such a young age. Kerkez is the only player in Bournemouth’s squad to have featured in all 28 league games and the team have now scored 44 points, a club record at this stage of the season.

The Hungarian footballer is playing with tremendous energy, having run 278.5 kilometers so far in the league, which is the 10th best in the Premier League, and his 616 sprints are fifth in the rankings. Overall, he has run 11 kilometers at the fastest pace, a distance only five runners ahead of him in this ranking.

The paper also highlights his sensational 43.6m sprint goal against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, which was nominated as the best assist of the season.

Bournemouth have scored eight goals this season from open-play crosses, of which Kerkez has played a part in three.

The analysis notes that Bournemouth have a good chance of reaching the International Cup for the first time in the club’s history, but it is a big question mark over whether Kerkez will be part of that, with several big clubs reportedly keen to sign him.
