Mercedes Benz Surprises Employees With 2000 Euro Bonus

Based on the results of the year 2024, the management of Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft. has decided to grant the active employees of the factory in Kecskemét a profit-sharing bonus of 800,000 forints (2,005 euros) gross, Világgazdaság reports, citing a statement from the company.

For the third year in a row, the Hungarian plant of Mercedes-Benz is directly sharing its success with its employees by gifting them a one-time bonus, that will be paid together with their March salary. In line with the agreement with the trade unions, the payout amount is also determined by local indicators set by the management in Kecskemét, that had a positive impact on the final amount. Jens Bühler, head of the Mercedes-Benz plant in Kecskemét, thanked the employees for their great performance and emphasized that with their passion and great results in a challenging environment, together as a team they had laid the foundation for the success of the plant.

The expected payout amount was determined based on the Group’s financial results for 2024 announced on March 4, 2025. The Mercedes-Benz plant in Kecskemét employs around 4,500 people and produced more than 146,000 vehicles last year. It is the seventh largest company in Hungary and the 49th and 56th largest company in Central and Eastern Europe in 2021 and 2022 respectively, according to the Coface CEE Top 500 Ranking.
