Multiple officers shot in Baldwin Park

Law enforcement are responding to reports of multiple Baldwin Park police officers shot Saturday evening.

California Highway Patrol were helping respond to the incident in Baldwin Park located near 4200 Filhurst Avenue, said spokesperson Megan Curtiss.

Curtiss said it was unclear at this point how many officers were involved. One person had been taken into custody, she said. A suspect had barricaded themselves at the scene, according to ABC7.

Two officers had been hit with gunshots and transported to USC Medical Center — one by air and one by ground, according to the LA County Fire Department. The officers’ conditions were not immediately known.
