Oil Giant MOL Embarks on Largest Polish Expansion in Years

Hungary’s MOL Group will open ten new filling stations in Poland in the first half of the year, marking one of the largest expansion programs undertaken by its Polish subsidiary, MOL Polska, in recent years, Polish business news portal ISBnews reported on Monday, citing a company statement.

MOL’s new filling station opened on Monday in Otwock, near Warsaw, and an operating partner opened a MOL filling station on a franchise basis in Wygoda, also located in the Mazovia province.

In the first half of the year, MOL Polska plans to open a total of ten new units

  • in the Lubuskie province in western Poland,
  • the Kuyavian-Pomeranian province in northwestern Poland,
  • the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in southwestern Poland,
  • and the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in northeastern Poland.

By combining our own investments with the franchise model, we can develop units with real sales potential more quickly. Cooperation with local entrepreneurs shortens the investment process while ensuring that MOL’s operating standards are maintained,”

Piotr Belniak, retail director at MOL Polska, is quoted as saying in the announcement.

According to ISBnews, MOL had 459 filling stations in Poland at the end of 2025. The current expansion will further strengthen the company’s position in one of Central Europe’s largest markets.
