Set preparation for “Moulin” at Nyugati railway station
Academy Award-winning director László Jeles Nemes is working on his new movie called “Moulin”, a French historical drama and war biopic. This upcoming movie will be his French language debut.
The biographical film follows Jean Moulin, who is dropped into Nazi-occupied France to help unify Resistance groups for Charles de Gaulle. Even though he tries to stay hidden, he is eventually betrayed and handed over to the Gestapo in Lyon, led by the brutal Klaus Barbie. Moulin is tortured again and again but never gives in. His fortitude inspires the Resistance and helps spark a renewed fight for freedom in France.
The production stars French actor Gilles Lellouche as Jean Moulin, while German actor Lars Eidinger will portray Klaus Barbie.
On Thursday night a part of Nyugati railway station was significantly changed for the night shoot. Multiple platforms were closed down while the cast and crew worked on the site. A vitage train was parked on one of the platforms that were closed because of the shooting, and it appeared that some scenes would be filmed inside of the compartments.

Preparations began hours in advance, the crew built a new wall filled with posters, and Lyon signs suggested where the story is set.
