Advent Basilica by St. Stephen’s Basilica
The capital’s two major Advent markets, Advent Bazilika (by St. Stephen’s Basilica) celebrating its 15th anniversary and Vörösmarty Classic Xmas on Vörösmarty Square, will on November 14.
For the 15th year in a row, the Advent Bazilika will welcome visitors to Saint Stephen’s Square. It has won the title of Europe’s best Christmas market four times and was voted the best European Christmas market of all time in 2024, the organizers said in a statement on Tuesday.
In front of the basilica, visitors will once again be greeted by a selection of works by Hungarian craftspeople and special gastronomic offerings.
The fair on Vörösmarty Square evokes classic Christmas traditions. Near popular tourist promenade, Váci Street, the hustle and bustle of the fair welcomes Budapest residents and domestic and foreign tourists alike with an authentic atmosphere.
To mark this anniversary season, the organizers are preparing a number of spectacular and entertaining innovations and special offers, details of which will be announced in the coming days, confirms the press release.
