Red Bull Showrun: F1 Cars Roll through Budapest on Public Transport

Until Monday, a tram is running in Budapest transporting Formula 1 race cars arriving for the Red Bull Showrun, an F1 city showcase taking place next weekend.

At a press event on Thursday, it was announced that the tram, decorated with unique graphics, will operate over the next few days starting from the Ferencváros depot, running on various routes.

It carries the Red Bull RB7 F1 model and a version of the same car painted in the RB (sister team) 2025 livery.

The tram left the depot for the first time on Thursday morning and is traveling along line 1, passing through Bécsi út. Between 6 PM and 9 PM, it will be visible on tram line 2 with the two F1 race cars onboard. On Friday, it will be on lines 47 and 17; on Saturday and Sunday, on line 4; and on Monday, on lines 56 and 17 — giving fans a chance to see the Formula 1 cars “riding” on public transport.

The purpose of this special tram service is to bring the spirit of the Red Bull Showrun into everyday life and help build excitement for the unique experience awaiting the audience next weekend,

the organizers said.

The Red Bull Showrun will be held next Saturday and Sunday. During the event, Red Bull’s nearly complete car and motorsport lineup will parade down Stefánia Road — including the two F1 cars, which will be driven by former Formula 1 drivers David Coulthard and Patrick Friesacher.

Further information and ticket purchase options are available on the official Red Bull Showrun website and on the Facebook event page.
