Say Goodbye to 2025 at the Kincsem Park Trotter Festival

On December 31, Kincsem Park, Budapest’s only horse racing track, will once again come alive as it hosts Hungary’s largest outdoor New Year’s Eve sporting event, a tradition spanning more than a quarter of a century. The New Year’s Eve Trotter Festival will be held for the 26th time on the final day of the year at Kincsem Park, that is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its establishment.

Once again, an exciting race program awaits visitors at Kincsem Park, where the thundering pace of horses and greyhounds will be mixed with a festive atmosphere and a colorful gastronomic offering.

The first race starts at 1 p.m., and the program will conclude with fireworks at 9 p.m.

The New Year’s Eve Trotter Festival promises a parade of stars once again: in keeping with tradition, well-known guests will compete in the Ferenc Zenthe Memorial Race and the István Bubik Memorial Race, including European hurdles silver medalist Balázs Baji and soccer legend Flórián Urbán.

A total of ten trotting and three greyhound races will be held during the day, with entertainment provided by two disco venues and a concert by Imre Rakonczai.

The program will be rounded off by a pony gallop, a spectacular horse show, and the celebration of the Horses of the Year in each category.

Tickets at the venue cost 8,000 forints (20.80 euros) for adults and 6,000 forints (15.60 euros) for students, while admission is free for children under 14.
