The 5th Hungarian Summit Takes Off with a Focus on Space and Innovation

As Hungary Today reported, HungarianHub is celebrating the fifth anniversary of the Hungarian Summit, which has officially started today. The vibrant one day conference celebrates international collaboration in business, higher education, sports and culture. Held at Corvinus University, this year’s conference centers around space exploration, technological innovation and sporting excellence.
Kicking off the event, Piros Pazaurek, Honorary Consul of Hungary in Central Florida and founder of the HungarianHub, welcomed attendees with a speech emphasizing the summit’s role in building a “powerful bridge” between Hungary and the United States. Referencing the unknown but exciting nature of the future, she encouraged participants to connect not only across national borders but within their own community.

Dr. Lajos György Szabó, Vice-Rector for Education at Corvinus University, expressed pride in hosting the summit in what he described as an “innovative environment” well-suited to the conference’s forward-looking themes.
The summit’s first panel, titled “Lift-off – Is the Sky the Limit?”, explored Hungary’s expanding role in the global space research community. Featuring notable speakers including Janet Karika, Former NASA Chief of Staff, the panel dove into Hungary’s contributions to future technologies and international cooperation in space. Karika praised Hungary’s problem solving, calling it very innovative, and highlighted upcoming mission of Hungarian astronaut Tibor Kapu on June 10.
Throughout the day, two additional panels and several individual events will bring together around 50 professionals from around the globe, fostering rich dialogue on the intersection of science, culture, and global cooperation.
