Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has expressed full solidarity with Poland after Russian drones violated Polish airspace, calling the breach of territorial integrity “unacceptable.”
The incident, Viktor Orbán warned, highlights the escalating dangers posed by the Russia-Ukraine war and validates Hungary’s consistent calls for peace. “It’s time to make it stop! To this end, we support the efforts of President Donald Trump aimed at achieving peace,” he stressed.
“No matter what happens, we stand with the Poles. Their territory and airspace are inviolable, and the Poles can always count on us,” Marcin Romanowski, former Polish Deputy Justice Minister and political refugee residing in Hungary, quoted Viktor Orbán after Russian drones violated Polish airspace on Wednesday.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk previously announced that 19 aerial objects entered Poland’s airspace from the east early Wednesday morning, of which at least three were shot down. According to Tusk, a “significant number” of the objects entered Poland from Belarusian territory.
On Wednesday evening, the Polish Ministry of the Interior reported that a total of 15 drone wrecks were found that day in Lublin, Łódź, Masovian, and Świętokrzyskie Voivodeships, as well as in Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in northeastern Poland. In Wyryki, a village in Lublin Voivodeship, one drone damaged a residential building and a passenger car; no injuries were reported.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated on Wednesday that there had been no intention to destroy any targets on Polish territory, and expressed willingness to consult with its Polish counterpart on the matter. Later, the Russian Foreign Ministry also declared its readiness to join the consultations offered to Warsaw.
