War to Be Longer and More Brutal Than Expected, Claims PM Orbán
“Military actions in recent days suggest that the war (in Ukraine, ed. note) will be longer and more brutal than we expected at the beginning of the year. We must be prepared for secret service operations, smear campaigns and war propaganda against Hungary will continue with even greater momentum than before,” Prime Minister Viktor Orbán wrote on his social media page, indicating that he had convened a meeting of the Defense Council for Monday afternoon.
In a post on his Facebook page, Viktor Orbán wrote that we must face the fact that transatlantic unity has been severely damaged.
he added.
The prime minister emphasized that Hungary must remain on the side of peace, even if this means that its disputes with Brussels will become “louder.” He also stated that we must prepare for a protracted war, with all its security and economic consequences.
