Dallas Cowboys still in Super Bowl mix despite Eagles loss
Dallas traveled to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles in Week 9 of the NFL season and lost an all-NFC East showdown that ended up being game of inches.
“The margin of error was so slim in this game that it hurts to think about,” Cowboys Insider Dave Helman said on the NFL on FOX Podcast after Dallas fell to Philly 28-23.
In Weeks 10 and 11, though, America’s Team bounced back with big wins over the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers. Dallas demolished the G-Men 49-17, and the Panthers 33-10.

And turns out, those wins helped quarterback Dak Prescott’s MVP odds skyrocket up the board.
Before Week 10, the veteran QB’s +5000 odds sat at 13th on the list behind other signal-callers such as Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes.
Now, Prescott is fifth on the board at +1600.

The Cowboys’ two-game winning streak also has their Super Bowl futures near the top of the board.
At FanDuel Sportsbook, their Super Bowl futures are currently sitting at +1100 after entering the season at +1600.
“They just keep churning out results against over-matched opponents,” Helman said on the NFL on FOX Podcast on Monday. “Going back to last week against the New York Giants and now the Carolina Panthers — they were favored by a combined 27.5 points in these last two games.
“That’s huge in the NFL. They’ve won the two games by a combined 55 points. … They handled it with ease.”
Also at FanDuel, Dak Prescott & Co. are third on board to win the NFC at +550, behind the Eagles (+210) and the San Francisco 49ers (+220).
And to win the NFC East, Dallas is second at +430 behind odds-on favorite Philly at -600.

“[The Cowboys] have gotten healthier and healthier … so I’ll take that to my bank,” co-host Skip Bayless said on Monday’s Undisputed about the Cowboys.
“I thought their Super Bowl chances were shot when Trevon Diggs went down. Now, I think they have a great Super Bowl shot.”
