Texans vs. Steelers Live Updates, Score: Houston Leads 17-6 After Big Defensive TD

There’s one spot in the divisional round left to decide as the 2025 NFL playoffs roll on with an AFC wild-card matchup between the Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night.

Aaron Rodgers and C.J. Stroud will meet inside Acrisure Stadium in search of their 13th and third playoff wins, respectively. Rodgers and the Steelers welcome the return of wide receiver DK Metcalf, back from a two-game suspension, for a stiff test against Houston.

The Texans’ vaunted defense, led by All-Pros Will Anderson Jr., Derek Stingley Jr. and Danielle Hunter, finished the regular season ranked No. 2 in scoring defense and first in total yards allowed; by comparison, T.J. Watt and the Steelers finished in the bottom half of the league in both categories. Houston also has its own elite pass-catching option in Nico Collins, who will be a matchup nightmare for a Pittsburgh defense that can be stout at times.
