Szijjártó: Patriots joining forces is much needed
Minister Szijjártó said on Facebook that the current economic, political and moral crisis of Europe was clearly visible even from the other side of the Atlantic.
Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, said severe attacks against patriotic parties, sometimes purely because they won an election, give reason for concern, therefore their joining forces is much needed.
After meeting his US counterpart in Washington, DC, on Tuesday, Minister Szijjártó said on Facebook that the current economic, political and moral crisis of Europe was clearly visible even from the other side of the Atlantic.
“We were in agreement that insisting on national identity in these challenging times was perhaps more important than ever before,” he said.
“The severe attacks against patriotic forces and governments, sometimes purely because they won the national election, give much reason for concern,” Minister Szijjártó said.
“The joining of forces between patriotic forces is much needed,” he added.
