Eagles Have Made Decision on A.J. Brown Trade
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown will not be getting traded ahead of the Nov. 4 NFL trade deadline.

Schefter adds that teams are indeed eyeing Brown ahead of the deadline, hoping to compel the Eagles into a deal, but they are not going to budge.
Amid the conversation around Brown, Eagles team owner Jeffrey Lurie responded to all of the rumblings.
“It’s not conflict. It’s intensity,” Lurie said, per Diani Russini. “The players respect it. I like intensity. The players are intense. Howie’s intense, I’m intense, the coach is intense. Every week, every situation, we approach it with intensity.”
“We encourage it. We want different personalities,” Lurie said. “Sometimes, in trades or in free agency, we’ll bring people in that complement those that we have. They’re different on purpose. We don’t want sameness.”
The Eagles won the Super Bowl last season due to their wide receiver duo of DeVonta Smith and Brown, both of whom are elite route runners who can make big plays and generate separation on intermediate routes.
Brown will not play on Sunday because of a hamstring injury, and with the Eagles having a bye next week, he will not return until Monday Night Football on Nov. 10.
The wide receiver has made several strange social media posts suggesting unhappiness with his usage. He is currently averaging a career-low 56.4 yards per game this season.
Earlier in the week, Brown posted a photo on Instagram with a caption reading “using me but not using me,” which many thought was a shot at quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Hurts, running back Saquon Barkley, and Brown all met after losing in a fourth-quarter meltdown against the Denver Broncos in Week 5.
Weeks ago, Brown was asked whether he wanted to stay on the team, and he made a clear statement of intent.
“Absolutely,” Brown said. “This is my home, you know? I did it to myself. But this is my home, man. I love it here. But you just see frustration because obviously we want to be great and most definitely I want to be great, as well.”
There is no shortage of teams that would want Brown, who could be a top target on most teams in the league. A team like the New York Giants or Kansas City Chiefs could offer a good amount of assets for him.
