Dad Gets Baby out of Crib, Not Prepared for What Camera Captures
One baby got quite a surprise during a late-night wake-up when her dad accidentally lifted her out of the crib upside down.
Parents Taylor and Asa White from Texas shared footage from their baby cam in a clip on TikTok, showing Asa going into their daughter’s room in the dark, reaching into the crib, only to reveal that he is holding her by the legs.
“Our daughter always tends to wake up at least one time at night, and we always go grab her to calm her down,” mom Taylor told Newsweek.

The 25-year-old said that her baby has a tendency to move around a lot—meaning there is no way of telling where she will be in her crib.
“That night, the sleep deprivation won I guess, and he accidentally picked her up upside down,” Taylor said.
It wasn’t until the next evening that Taylor saw what had happened when Asa asked if she had seen the footage from the previous night. “We were sitting at the table and I found it and died laughing. It was hilarious how she threw her arms out.”
Asa found it just as funny. “When I went to put her on my hip, I realized she was upside down,” he told Taylor.
In response to her husband’s actions, Taylor wrote on the text overlay: “When it’s too dark and little too early.”
The clip, which has been viewed more than 2.5 million times, struck a chord with other TikTok users, and many parents commented their stories of nighttime mishaps.
“I’ve done that before and I was so sleep deprived I panicked and thought my son’s head fell off,” one user posted.
“Omg [oh my God] this is sending me. The music, the baby’s arms and face. Simply a cinematic masterpiece,” wrote another.
A third user commented that they were attempting to give their baby a pacifier, only to realize that they were poking their baby’s eye instead.
“Some of the stories have had us giggling for hours,” Taylor said in response to the reaction online.
As new parents, Taylor said they are finding this new chapter of their lives “the best.” “Obviously you know nothing, and you’re learning one day at a time, but there is something so exciting about not knowing what the day has in store for you,” she told Newsweek.
