Orbán congratulates Azeri president on re-election

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán held talks with Ilham Aliyev, the re-elected president of Azerbaijan, on Wednesday evening, the PM’s press chief said.

Orbán congratulated Aliyev on his “huge and indisputable” election victory, Bertalan Havasi told MTI.

Speaking to Aliyev by phone, the prime minister said he was looking forward to further strengthening cooperation between Hungary and Azerbaijan, as well as between Azerbaijan and the European Union during Hungary’s upcoming EU presidency in the second half of this year.
