Taylor Swift’s fans are clearly enjoying some sweet revenge after C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s recent trade to the Houston Texans.
The Philadelphia Eagles safety, who recently found himself in hot water with Swifties, was traded on Tuesday, March 11, just a month after his remarks about Swift and her boyfriend, Kansas City Chief’s tight end Travis Kelce, went viral. It’s safe to say fans are having a field day with the news on social media.
“Taylor Swift somehow worked her magic to get CJ Gardner-Johnson traded out of Philly after that parade shirt,” one fan posted to X (formerly Twitter).

The controversy surrounding Gardner-Johnson began after his behavior at the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory parade. He wore a sweatshirt that read “Swifties Can LIX My Balls” and posted a message suggesting that Kelce, 35, shouldn’t have dated Swift, also 35, and stayed with his ex, Kayla Nicole. “Should’ve stayed w that thick s****,” he wrote before re-sharing an old image of the athlete and Nicole on his Instagram Story. The comments sparked some intense backlash, namely from the “Fortnight” singer’s fans.
